The Third Rachmaninoff International Piano Competition & Festival
A triennial international piano competition and festival presented under the auspices of the Cities of Los Angeles and Moscow, Russia. Dedicated to the musical icon - Sergei Rachmaninoff - who was born and raised in Russia, relocated to the United States and died in Beverly Hills, California.
A pianist and composer who wrote music for piano, voice, symphonies and motion pictures, Rachmaninoff is a legendary figure in classical music. The event features an illustrious group of international judges with legendary American pianist Earl Wild as Jury Chairman and twenty four competitors from across the globe. Walt Disney Concert Hall events will also feature the Moscow Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra
